Domestic Sewer Serice
The incorporated areas of Delta County (Cedaredge, Crawford, Delta, Hotchkiss, and Paonia) operate public waste water treatment services. Those areas not served by municipal waste water treatment plants are served by private septic systems.
Electricity
Delta-Montrose Electrical Association (DMEA) is a citizen-owned electrical cooperative. DMEA provides the electrical power to all areas of Delta County, with the exception of the City of Delta which contracts for its own power source.

Telecommunications
Telecommunication services in Delta County are provided by two major companies. Along the U.S. Highway 50 corridor (predominantly surrounding the City of Delta), service is provided by Qwest. The balance of the county is served by TDS Telecom. Both offer digital switching enhanced telecommunication services. Office services available include call waiting, preferred call forwarding, caller ID, Centrex, PBX, key systems and voice mail. Data communication and broadband width service range from dedicated ISDN access to frame relay to DSL to multiple T-1 lines.

Delta County has an extensive fiber optic “backbone” that extends throughout the county, then spans to Grand Junction and on to the Denver Metro area. Many of the area schools utilize the fiber optic network. Do to the geography of the county, not all areas can be served with fiber optic, but those areas are well served by an extensive wireless network within Delta County.

Impact Fees
Delta County and all of the communities within the county do not impose any impact fees.
Domestic Water and Sewer Tap Fees
All the communities within Delta County are served by domestic water, and many areas are served by domestic sewer service. Many factors, such as distance from a main line or whether the tap is “in-town” may affect the total price. It is recommended that the subject community be contacted prior to determining final costs associated with installing infrastructure.
