"Delta-Montrose Electric Association is Delta County's rural electric cooperative. Although outstanding customer service is the number one priority for DMEA, they work hard to be on the cutting edge of energy technolgies. Examples include their GeoExchange program, solar and wind energy programs, and net-metering programs. DMEA is committed to community service with programs such as the 'Round Up' program (participating customers electric bills are ""rounded up"" to the nearest dollar, and the proceeds go to local area nonprofit groups), safety demonstrations, annual participation in 4-H and FFA programs, and annual scholarships helping students realize their dreams of higher education."
